THE RED LINE, a Warner Brothers Television pilot drama based on the 2011 hit Chicago play A TWIST OF WATER, has been picked up by CBS to premiere on the network next season. THE RED LINE is written and co-executive produced by Caitlin Parrish and Erica Weiss, the team behind the Chicago theater production which premiered with Route 66 Theatre Company at Theater Wit, and then transferred to the Mercury Theater for a commercial run before playing Off-Broadway. The cast will feature Noah Wyle, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Aliyah Royale, Noel Fisher, Michael Patrick Thornton, Vinny Chhibber, Howard Charles, and Elizabeth Laidlaw.

The Chicago-set series picks up after a white cop mistakenly shoots and kills a black doctor, told through the perspectives of three contrasting families with connections to the case.
