The production will be directed and choreographed by Paramount Theatre’s New Works Development Director Amber Mak and features Danielle Davila, Madison Kauffman, Jake Morrissy, Maisie Rose, Sharon Sachs and Tiffany Tatreau.

According to the press release, NUMBER NERDS is the story of an all-girl high school math team from Our Lady of Perpetual Chastity in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The team has won the Regional Math Competition and is chosen to compete in the National Math SUM-IT. These smart and funny whiz kids must unite to solve difficult math problems without getting distracted by math club drama or the pressures of getting into the right college. It is a story of girls becoming women and learning to work with each other so that the team can win. This heartfelt musical comedy proves that not only can girls rock math, but they can make us laugh along the way.
CPA Theatricals, the producing company of NUMBER NERDS, conducted a nationwide search for a team of composers and the Chicago team, which includes founding members of Underscore Theater Company, was selected. Working from an original story by producer Little, Stratford, Higgin-Houser, Kornfeld, and MacAurele developed the show over a two-year period with multiple Chicago readings, and Mak directing workshops at the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival and the ITA Community Theatre Festival.
NUMBER NERDS runs July 19th – 23rd at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 416 West 42nd Street, New York City. For more information visit nymf.org/numbersnerds.
