Chicago Theaters to Dim Marquees for Martha Lavey

The Chicago theater community will honor former Steppenwolf Artistic Director and ensemble member Martha Lavey who passed away earlier this week.

Theaters throughout Chicagoland, including Steppenwolf Theatre where Lavey served as artistic director from 1995-2015, will come together to honor on of the most important influencers in the history of Chicago theater, on Friday, April 28th. Theaters will dim their marquee lights and observe a moment of silence 30 minutes before the start time of their evening production.
