Chicago Theatre Workshop is bringing back the earthquakes, tidal waves, and towering infernos with a special filmed version of its production of DISASTER.

The big-screen feature will be hosted by members of the cast, as they lead audiences in a sing-along of the show’s score, which includes 1970’s classics by Donna Summer, The Bay City Rollers, Helen Reddy, Barry Manilow, Gloria Gaynor, and more.

Written by Seth Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick, DISASTER tells the story of doomed passengers aboard New York City’s hottest floating casino discotheque. What begins as a night of boogie fever quickly turns to zany panic as everyone succumbs to the series of escalating natural disasters.

The DISASTER sing-along event takes place Saturday, September 22nd at The Edge Theater, 5451 N. Broadway, Chicago, IL 60640. Audience members are encouraged to attend in costume. For more information visit chicagotheatreworkshop.org.
