The Comrades Announce 2nd Show in Inaugural Season

The Comrades, a new Chicago theater company, announced the second show in their inaugural season. DYING CITY by Christopher Shinn will be directed by Jeff Award winner Elizabeth Lovelady and play the Heartland Studio October 7 – October 30th.

One year after his suspicious death, a young soldier’s wife and twin brother meet for the first time since the funeral. A psychological showdown erupts as the two fight to reconcile their memories with the ugly truth. DYING CITY had its world premiere in 2006 at London’s Royal Court Theatre and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2008.

“We’re excited to produce Christopher Shinn’s play,” says The Comrades’ Artistic Director Derek Bertelsen. “We’re also thrilled to be working with guest director Elizabeth Lovelady on this production and we can’t wait to share this show with this our audiences.”

Casting has yet to be announced for DYING CITY.
