DJEMBE! Postponed at the Apollo

Due to “scheduling conflicts with the creative team,” the U.S. premiere of  “DJEMBE! The Show” will be postponed until at least this fall.

The production was to feature a group of African and international musicians perform with a wide array of instruments, along with the audience, who each hole a djembe drum to play along. It was scheduled to open June 13th at the Apollo Theatre, co-produced by creator Doug Manuel and Michèle Darmon. A cast of local performers had not yet been announced.

Tickets are in the process of being refunded by the Apollo.
