Recycle Electronics, Fabric, and Costumes This Thursday at Steppenwolf

Get out those old drapes, costumes, and Windows 95 towers you’re still holding on to. The 2nd Annual Chicago Green Theatre Alliance E-Waste and Textile Drive will be held this Thursday, May 26 at the Steppenwolf Garage Theatre and Parking Lot, 1624 N. Halsted. Schedule as follows:

E-Waste Drive (In the Parking Lot)
10AM – 3PM
CRT monitors, TVs, and Hazardous Waste not accepted

Textile Drive (In the Garage Theatre)
9AM – Noon (Textile Drop Off)
An opportunity to recycle costumes and textiles, allowing large theatres to cull their costume inventory and affording smaller companies the opportunity to bulk up their stock at no cost. Donations must be textiles only. Costume stock, bolts of fabric, and painted drops are all welcome. Prop departments are welcome to donate prop textiles as well. Donors must bring their own racks, or must deliver clothes folded in boxes.

12 – 4PM (Costume Exchange)
First come, first served. Stop by to sift through racks of costumes. Items will be free, but limited to 10 items apiece. Available only to League member theaters and freelance costume designers.
