Musicalized LADY X Replaces VALLEY! in Handbag’s Season

Hell in a Handbag Productions announced today it will open its 15th season with the world premiere of LADY X – A MUSICAL, an adaptation of their 2010 play of the same name. LADY X will replace the previously announced musical VALLEY! from April 21 – June 11 at Mary’s Attic.

LADY X – A MUSICAL takes on the black and white crime melodrama films of the ‘30s and ‘40s. It’s the story of seedy nightclubs and the menacing gangsters that run them. Co-directed by Tommy Bullington and Steve Love with music direction by JD Caudill, the campy musical parody features a book by Artistic Director David Cerda and music by Cerda and Scott Lamberty.

The production team for LADY X – A MUSICAL includes Austin Lemoine (costume design) and Mealah Heidenreich (props).
