Neverbird Project Announces PINOCCHIO Cast and Production Team

Neverbird Project, a new theater company focused on Deaf and hearing youths and featuring Deaf and hearing actors, has announced the cast and production team for their original production of PINOCCHIO.

Originated and co-directed by Levi Holloway and Katy Boza, the production features Julissa Contreras (Pinocchio), Chris Chmelik (Geppetto), Haley Bolithon (Blu the Dead Girl), Sarah Cartwright (Cricket), Skyler Schrempp (Cypress), and Mary Williamson (Redd the Puppetmaster). The youth ensemble includes Paige Healy, Leah Healy, Isabelle Tereul, Makeda Duncan, Tali Vittum, Nia Sarfo, Sofia Richter, Delilah Lane, Claudia Tani, Steven Huetteman, and Elijah Jackson.

The production team includes Hilary Williams (assistant director/dramaturg), Frank Maugeri (scenic design), Claire Chrzan (lighting design), Jeffrey Levin (sound designer/composer), Nicole Lambert (music direction), Charlotte Mae Ellison (costume design), Cole Van Glahn (production manager), Larry Huetteman (props design), Yvette Alvarado (seamstress), Corrine Bass (production assistant), Matt Anderson (ASL director), and JC Widman (stage manager).

Neverbird’s PINOCCHIO runs April 20th through May 14th. The production is hosted by Chicago Children’s Theatre and more information can be found at chicagochildrenstheatre.org.
