theTEN with Sharriese Hamilton

Jump inside the brains of Chicago theater artists as we ask them 10 questions that were in no way inspired by Inside the Actor’s Studio.

What’s the one role/show you’ve always wanted to work on that you haven’t yet?

“Marie Christine” and “Noises Off.” I know they are like complete opposites but Audra is my spirit guide, Michael John LaChuisa is one of my favorite composers and I loves a good comedy.

What current production, besides one of your own, are you most excited about?

Anything my friends Sydney or Jason are in.

If you couldn’t be in theater, what career would you have chosen?

My GRAVE. No kidding, I love kids, so I’d most likely be in some school singing and carrying on about math or literature.

What quote or saying do people spout but is really complete BS?

Running feels good eventually.

What would you name your boat if you had one?

MINE

What will finally break the internet?

Bricks? I don’t know. Actually, this is one of those phrases I don’t care for.

What well-known fictional character would be the most boring to meet in real life?

I dunno? Pretty much any character that’s always happy.

What is a play or musical that you cannot stand (CATS is not an acceptable answer)?

I don’t hate them but I’m tired of Oklahoma and Mamma Mia. I get it, they make money, but I’m tired, you hear me?

What is a play or musical that you love (CATS is not an acceptable answer)?

Spamalot.

What are you reading, watching or listening to right now?

I’m rewatching “Home Movies.” It’s an animated show from the late 90’s about these kids that make movies. All voiced by comedians. It’s hilarious. Taking suggestions on good fiction right now!
