THE LITTLE FOXES

Directed by Kristina McCloskey
September 25th, 2018 – October 28, 2018

Lillian Hellman’s searing tale of family betrayal and corruption, set in Alabama in the year 1900. In it, Regina Hubbard Giddens connives against her brothers and husband for wealth and freedom within the confines of an early 20th-century society where fathers considered only sons as their legal heirs. This milestone in American theatre is a riveting unsentimental portrait of a bygone era that still holds timely resonance even today.

An elephant named Gerald and a pig named Piggie are best, best, “bestus” (a word Gerald and Piggie made up that means “very best”) friends, but Gerald worries that something could go wrong that would end their friendship. Piggie is not worried at all. She’s even happier and more excited than usual. That’s because she and Gerald are invited to a party hosted by the Squirrels, three singing squirrels who love to have a good time. And so begins a day when anything is possible.
