Many of the original 2008 cast will return for the reading, which will be held at Steppenwolf on January 22nd. Cromer’s production has since had a long run off-broadway, winning an Obie award for Best Director, and has performed around the country and in London. The company recently announced that they would cancel the second half of their 2016-2017 20th anniversary season due to lackluster sales and fundraising. The small staff has been laid off, and the company plans to move to a one production at a time model.

Tickets for the benefit can be purchased at www.the-hypocrites.com.
