Rehearsal Accident Hospitalizes Chicago Folks Operetta Artistic Director

Gerald Frantzen—Artistic Director at Chicago Folks Operetta and a cast member in their imminent production of THE COUSIN FROM NOWHERE—fell off a platform during rehearsals last week at Stage 773. He suffered a concussion, broken leg, broken shoulder, and fractured ribs.

The opening of THE COUSIN FROM NOWHERE has been postponed. It will now open July 8 and the run has been extended to July 24th. The updated performances are:

July 8 at 7:30 PM
July 9 at 7:30 PM
July 10 at 2 PM
July 15 at 7:30 PM
July 16 at 2 PM
July 16 at 7:30 PM
July 17 at 2 PM
July 22 at 7:30 PM
July 24 at 2 PM

All performances will still take place at Stage 773 and the concert “Operetta in Exile” remains unchanged and will run July 13 and 14 at Stage 773.
