Steep Announces “First Love is the Revolution” Cast & Staff

Steep Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for the Chicago premiere of Rita Kalnejais’ “First Love is the Revolution.” The play premiered at Soho Theatre in London in 2015, and is a star-crossed-lover tale from different sides of the animal kingdom — a 14-year-old boy and a young fox. Devon de Mayo directs in her Steep debut.

The cast will feature Isa Arciniegas, Jordan Arredondo, Destini Huston, Curtis Edward Jackson, Jose Nateras, Jin Park, along with Steep Company Members Lucy Carapetyan and Alex Gilmor.

The production team includes Stage Manager Lauren Lassus, Set Designer Arnel Sancianco, Lighting Designer Heather Sparling, sound design & original music by Jeffrey Levin, Costume Designer Mieka van der Ploeg, Props Designer Emma Cullimore, Dramaturg Sarah Slight, Intimacy Director Sasha Smith, Violence Director Rachel Flesher, Associate Violence Director Zach Payne and Production Manager Catherine Allen.
