Timber Lake Playhouse, the Mt. Caroll stock theater that hosts dozens of Chicago-based artists every summer, has announced its 2017 season. MARY POPPINS will kick off the season next June, followed by Eugene O’Neill’s romantic coming-of-age comedy AH, WILDERNESS!.
The cast and creative team is set for Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman’s revival of WONDERFUL TOWN—Leonard Bernstein’s classic musical with lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and book by Joseph Fields and Jerome Chodorov. WONDERFUL TOWN follows the adventure of sisters Eileen and Ruth, who leave Columbus, Ohio in search of success in the Big Apple.
American Theater Company (ATC) has restructured its 2016-17 Season, postponing the world premiere of Basil Kreimendahl’s WE’RE GONNA BE OKAY to the following season. The other three previously announced plays will run on an updated production schedule.
