Blank Theatre Company has announced the cast and creative team for THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD with book, music and lyrics by Rupert Holmes.
The cast features Maisie Rose (Edwin Drood), Chase Heinemann (John Jasper), Dustin Rothbart (The Chairman), Phoebe Moore (Rosa Bud), Katherine Dalin (Princess Puffer), Simran Bal (Helena Landless), Nathan Karnik (Neville Landless), Bob Sanders (Reverend Crisparkle), Brian Warner (Bazzard), Aaron Mann (Durdles), Bryce Ancil (Deputy), with Alexandra Alontaga, Grace Bobber and Sophie Vitello rounding out the ensemble.
Deric Anthony Gochenauer, Brian Pember and Aurora Penepacker will understudy.
Co-artistic director Danny Kapinos will direct with musical direction by Aaron Kaplan and choreography by company member Britta Lynn Schlicht. The production team includes Liza Alrutz (Stage Manager), Liz Cooper (Lighting Design) Jason Fleece (Dialect Coach), Jeremy Hollis (Scenic Design) and Sophie Vitello (Dramaturg).
THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD adapts Charles Dickens’ unfinished murder-mystery novel as a comedy in the music hall tradition. Dickens died before finishing the novel, so the cast will perform a new ending, voted on by the audience, each night.
