Music Theater Works (formerly Light Opera Works) has announced principal casting and the design team for Gilbert and Sullivan’s THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE.
Directed by artistic director Rudy Hogenmiller, conducted by Linda Madonia and choreographed by Clayton Cross, the principal roles feature James Harms (Major-General Stanley), Larry Adams (Pirate King), Ben Barker (Frederic), Cecilia Iole (Mabel), Nancy Hays (Ruth), PJ Wilborn (Sergeant of Police), Cary Lovett (Samuel), Caitlyn Glennon (Edith), Abby Murray Vachon (Kate), Anna Dvorchak (Isabel), and a supporting chorus of Thomas Bailey, Anna Brockman, Jar’Davion Brown, Teaira Burge, Clayton Cross, Warren C. Dailey, Leon Evans, David Fink, David Gordon-Johnson, Ryan Hamman, Joshua Heinlein, Halli Morgan, Omar Mulero, Peter Ruger, Gabrielle Sarcone, Sarah Wasserman and Bryan J. Wlas. They are accompanied by a 26-piece orchestra.
The production team is Joe Schermoly (scenic design), Jana Anderson (costume design), Andrew H. Meyers (lighting design), Aaron Quick (sound design), Alice Salazar (hair & make-up design), Bob Silton (props design) Sean McStravick (stage manager) and Katie Beeks (production manager).
THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE runs June 9 – 17 at Cahn Auditorium in Evanston.
