Music for Theatre CHICAGO has announced the cast and production team for its season-ending, “Homeland 24: The People’s Play.”
Directed by Christie Chiles Twillie, the cast features Nicholia Q. Aquirre as Della, Raymon Cunha as The LEADER, Raymond Cleveland as Vernon/Baba, Tim Vance as Councilman Bill, and J. Michael Wright as Jason. With Cynthia De La Fuente, Alisa Goldberg, Lucy Shea, Rebecca Haubrich, Adam Hoak, Matthew Leptich,Trace Gamace, Robert McDonough, Terry Kind, Carmeanna Eberly, Alexandra Plattos, Ashley Kammrath, Jorge Bermudez, Jacob Lill, Jake Miser, Amanda De La Fuente, Jake Pranian, Sammie Cruz, Gus Calhoun, Natalie Ortega. Understudies are Rachel Johnson and Matthew Schufrieder.
Written in the style of a Greek tragedy, “Homeland 24” looks into the lives and relationships of self-righteous citizens, their glutenous lifestyles and the hardship they impose on outsiders who were forced behind the wall during The Great Migration.
The creative team includes set design by Tara Houston, lighting design by Latrice Negron and costume design by Jessica Sawyer.
“Homeland 24: The People’s Play” runs June 28 – July 14 at Piven Theatre in Evanston.
