Emerald City Theatre has announced casting for their production of THE WIZ  adapted from the THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ by L. Frank Baum, book by William F. Brown, music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls, with additional material by Tina Tippit.

Directed and choreographed by Jamal Howard, the production features Isis Elizabeth (Dorothy), Leon Evans (Scarecrow), Jar’Davion Brown (Tinman), Miguel Long (Lion), Aziza Macklin (Auntie Em/Glinda), Deanalis Resto(Evilene), Donterrio Johnson (The Wiz), Tuesdai B. Perry (Addaperle), Frankie Leo Bennett(The Gatekeeper), and Angelica Herndon (Ensemble).

The creative team includes Nikkia Tyler (Assistant Director), Michael Lewis (Scenic Designer), Kate Kamphausen (Costume Designer), Brian Elston (Lighting Designer), Jeffrey Levin (Sound Designer), Letitia Guillaud (Props Designer), and Alex Weisman (Casting Director).
