The Shakespeare All-Stars have announced the cast and production team for SHAKESPEARE’S REVISIONIST HISTORIES, a new work inspired by Shakespeare’s history plays set in a sanctuary space.
Directed by Erik Wagner with live music directed by Kyra Leigh, the production features Brice Baron, Amber Nicole Cartwright, Carlyle DePriest, Rebecca Joy Fletcher, Frank Gasparro, Mariah Ghant, Adrian Grigoras, Sean Haynes, Theresa Liebhart, Carly McQuay, and Andrew Seller.
The production team includes Text/Vocal Coach Stefan Brundage, Stage Manager Brenna Palfi, and Producers Arin Mulvaney & Jill Matel.
From the press release: “In an age where political factions create rifts, immigration and human rights are in question, and fake news mixes with the real, what do we have to learn from Shakespeare’s Histories and the political factions of centuries ago? Shakespeare’s Revisionist Histories is a devised new work inspired by these ten plays and hundreds of years of political corruption. Step into a sanctuary space where, for the moment, we are free to sing, play, dance, speak, and read the bard’s verse.”
