Porchlight Music Theatre has announced casting for their season opener, GYPSY — directed by Michael Weber, with music led by David Fiorello and choreography by Chris Carter.
Jeff Award winner E. Faye Butler stars in the iconic role of the legendary stage mother “Rose” as previously announced, with Daryn Whitney Harrell as “Louise,” Aalon Smith as “Dainty June,” José Antonio García as “Herbie,” Honey West as “Electra / Miss Cratchitt,” Dawn Bless as “Mazeppa,” Melissa Young as “Tessie Tura,” Marco Tzunux as “Tulsa,” and an ensemble including Larry Baldacci, Tatiana Bustamante, Joshua Bishop, Elya Faye Bottiger, Jared David Michael Grant, J. Michael Jones, Marvin J. Malone II, Renellè Nicole, Jeff Pierpoint, and Ariel Triunfo. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
The Gypsy production team includes Robin da Silva, Assistant Director; Jeffrey D. Kmiec, scenic designer; Robert Hornbostel, sound designer; Bill Morey, costume designer; Denise Karczewski, lighting designer; Andrew Ashley Hatcher, props designer; Kevin Barthel, wig designer; Sean McStravick, stage manager; Aaron Shapiro and Cody Westgaard, production managers.
