Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will perform at Steppenwolf as a part of the LookOut Series on May 22 for one night only.

McDonald will be joined on stage by host and pianist Seth Rudetsky, with a special guest appearance by McDonald’s husband, Will Swenson, the Tony-nominated star of HAIR and PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT. The format of the evening will be a mix of behind-the-scenes stories with Rudetsky serving as interviewer—and McDonald singing some of the biggest hits from her musical theater repertoire.

Rudetsky will also be in town March 20th for the previously announced “Concert for America,” starring Chita Rivera and other Broadway stars.

Produced by Mark Cortale, the intimate Audra McDonald concert takes place Monday, May 22 at 6:30pm in Steppenwolf’s Downstairs Theatre. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 10 at 11am through Audience Services (1650 N Halsted St), 312-335-1650 and steppenwolf.org. A pre-sale to current Steppenwolf subscribers began today at 11am.
