The Factory Theater has announced the cast and design team for the world-premiere of Jill Oliver’s “The Adventures of Spirit Force Five.”
The production, directed by Spenser Davis, includes Kevin Alves, (Coach K); Abby Blankenship, (Layla); Brittney Brown (Ensemble); Tommy Bullington, (Ensemble); Carmen Molina, (Flora); Charlie Irving, (Ensemble); Jill Oliver, (Lolahdy); Eric Roach, (Ensemble); Joshua Servantez, (Garin); Stephanie Shum, (Gilda) and Elise Marie Davis, (Lady Mauron),
Playwright Oliver will also take on the role of Lolahdy and serve as the production’s choreographer. The rest of the production team includes Eric Backus (sound designer/composer), Kim Boler (assistant director) Joyanne Cox (assistant costume designer), Jill Frederickson (puppet designer), Devon Green (set and prop designer), Rose Hamill (stage manager) Laura McKenzie (music director), Claire Sangster (lighting designer), Chris Smith (fight choreographer), Rachel Sypniewski (costume designer), C.W. van Baale (master electrician) and Maureen Yasko (fight choreographer).
From the press release: “When a cheerleading squad is called upon to save the parallel universe of Lej, they must summon their collective team spirit to destroy the evil spirit stick, save the citizens of Lametown and be back in time for the state championship. Jill Oliver’s debut play asks the question, ‘Ummm…there’s an evil stick in this play?'”
