The cast and designers have been announced for “Kill Move Paradise” by James Ijames, receiving its Chicago premiere February 12 – April 5 at TimeLine Theatre Company.
Directed by company member Wardell Julius Clark, the cast features Kai A. Ealy as Isa, company member Charles Andrew Gardner as Daz, Trent Davis as Tiny, and Cage Sebastian Pierre as Grif, with Donovan Session as Tiny at select performances.
The production team is Ryan Emens (Scenic Designer), Jason Lynch (Lighting Designer), Izumi Inaba (Costume Designer), Jeffrey Levin (Sound Designer), Mealah Heidenreich (Properties Designer), Rachel Flesher (Intimacy and Violence Director). Jared Bellot (Dramaturg), Dina Spoerl (Lobby Display Designer), Miranda Anderson (Stage Manager), and Sophie Hoyt (Assistant Director).
In “Kill Move Paradise,” Four young black men, torn from the world without warning, discover themselves stuck in a nebulous waiting room in the afterlife. While balancing the reality of their past and the uncertainty of their future, their souls try to find peace.
