TOO MUCH LIGHT to Perform LGBTQ Benefit

The Neo-Futurists will switch it up for Pride weekend with a special edition of their flagship show TOO MUCH LIGHT MAKES THE BABY GO BLIND: 30 PLAYS IN 60 MINUTES with an LGBTQ-focused show and benefit entitled: 30 QUEER PLAYS IN 60 STRAIGHT MINUTES.

The benefit performance is Thursday, June 23rd at the Neo-Futurist’s space at 5153 N. Ashland. Tickets are $25 with all proceeds going to the Broadway Youth Center, a program that offers teens and young adults a haven to seek refuge, medical attention, social services, clothes and other much-needed care. All of their services are free of charge for youth ages 12 to 24. Patrons are encouraged to bring any of the following donation items to The Neo-Futurarium or the Broadway Youth Center (615 W. Wellington): single-ride Ventra cards; Target, Wal-mart, Walgreens or CVS gift cards; personal hygiene items; new white undershirts, underwear, bras, chest binders, and socks.

THE 30 QUEER PLAYS IN 60 STRAIGHT MINUTES features Ida Cuttler, Trevor Dawkins, Tif Harrison, Jeewon Kim, Kirsten Riiber, Ryan Walters and Malic White.
