Directed by Fred Anzevino, with music direction by Jeremy Ramey, the cast features Kelli Harrington (Francesca Johnson), Tommy Thurston (Robert Kincaid), Carl Herzog (Bud Johnson), Molly LeCaptain (Marian), Kate Harris (Marge), Randolph Johnson (Charlie), Christopher Ratliff (Michael), Peyton Shaffer (Carolyn), along with ensemble members Matt Frye, and Lizzie Cutrupi.
The production team includes Colt Frank (scenic design), Bill Morey (costume design), James Kolditz (lighting design), Matt Zalinski (properties design), Ben Lipinski (technical director), Courtney Crouse (assistant director) and Hai Alvarez-Miller (stage manager).
In this musical adaptation of the novel, Francesca Johnson, an Italian woman who married an American soldier to flee war-ravaged Italy, looks forward to a rare four days alone on her Iowa farm when her family heads to the 1965 State Fair. When Robert Kincaid, a National Geographic photographer, pulls into her driveway seeking directions, what happens in those four days may very well alter the course of Francesca’s life.
THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY runs March 8 – April 21 in the new Howard Street Theatre, 721 Howard Street, Evanston. For more information visit Theo-u.com.
